With Humana One dental benefits, members can choose any dentist and save significantly on normally billed charges when visiting one of more than 75,000 dentist locations in the DPPO network. Humana One (HumanaOne) offers a Dental Preferred Provider Organization or “DPPO” dental product that can be added to any individual or family health insurance plan at the time of enrollment. This Humana One comprehensive dental plan offers dental preventive care, basic and major services covered to an annual maximum benefit of $1000 with an individual annual deductible of $50 or $150 for families (deductible not applied to preventative services).
Humana One Preventive Dental Services are covered at 100% with no deductible. Included in this Humana One preventive dental coverage is, oral examinations, routine cleanings, x-rays, sealants, and topical fluoride treatments. . The Humana One Basic Dental Services have a six month waiting period prior to eligibility for benefits. Once individuals or families have met the waiting period coverage is 50% after the deductible to a maximum annual benefit of $1000. Services offered under basic coverage include: emergency exams, thumb sucking and harmful habit appliances, space maintainers, amalgam or composite fillings, oral surgery, extractions, non-cast stainless steel crowns, and partial or complete denture repairs or adjustments. Humana One Major Dental Services have a 12 month waiting period prior to eligibility for benefits. Once Humana members have met the waiting period, coverage is 50% after the deductible to a maximum annual benefit of $1000. Covered major dental services are: root canals, periodntics, crowns inlays, onlays, dentures, denture reline/rebases, and removal of or fixed bridgework. This Humana One dental plan also offers up to a 20% discount for orthodontics if members visit any orthodontist from the Humana Dental PPO Network and ask for the discount.
